In the last days, The darkness will get darker and the light will get lighter. Do not be surprised if you are persecuted for righteousness sake even by people who call themselves the church.

“20Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”

Isaiah 5:20

Jesus himself stated, in Matthew 5,

“10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Matthew 5:10-12

“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

Romans 12:18

However, if someone sees you living righteously or speaking righteously and persecuted you for being righteous or standing peacefully for righteousness, this is to your credit in heaven. Take heart for Christ is with you and sees all. We cannot please everyone but I am happy to please Christ over people.
