I used to live a “normal” life in the USA: University education, working a 9-5, making it by, trying to eat healthy, making ends meet the best could; but somehow knowing that I was always called to something much more wild, much more untamed.
Welcome 2017, the year everything changed for me. I knew from a young age that I was called to missions, but through dreams and visions, words, and other answer to prayer, by October, God confirmed that the time to go was”now”. It is not easy to leave an established life and move to another country, but God was in it, so I knew it was the direction to follow. I immediately began selling and giving away most of what I owned. I put my notice in at work, sold my car, and purchased an airline ticket to kenya (God had given me ministry connections in this country and confirmed it was where I was to start).
I stopped being concerned with the normal things of life and learned a new, and more wild way of living. In the first few months here in Kenya, God brought me my husband, I grew personally in ministry, and I learned to live in the village, which is a very different way to live. In many ways, it is like camping on a daily basis. I acclimated as I could to the culture. Years later I am still learning.
This, and so much more to come is how I became “the Feral Housewife.”
Our lives are very different but a constant adventure. We welcome you to join with our family on our story of how we live and share the love of Christ with those around us.
